ABOUT ME

I’m Megan, a BACP qualified integrative counsellor. This means I draw on many different theories and techniques, tailoring my approach to each individual client.
I support clients in making space for their thoughts, emotions and experiences without judgment - fostering growth, resilience and a greater sense of freedom in how they relate to themselves and their lives.

Counselling can be a process of carefully piecing ourselves back together, honouring the marks life has left on us. Our struggles and scars are not failures to hide, but meaningful parts of who we are, worthy of care and respect.

I work holistically, recognising the close connection between mind, body and meaning, and support clients in developing a clearer, kinder and more compassionate understanding of themselves. I work with adults aged 18+ and have extensive experience working with young adults, particularly university students and the challenges that this period can bring.

Ultimately I offer a safe, confidential and supportive space to explore whatever challenges you may be facing and for you to be human. Because sometimes, in the busyness of day-to-day life, in the expectations, in the need to just keep going - we forget that we are allowed to be actual humans.

FAQ'S
How many sessions will I need?
Some clients find clarity after a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support over several months. We’ll regularly review your progress together to ensure counselling continues to meet your needs.

What happens in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you to counselling, any goals you have, and how we might work together. There’s no pressure - it’s a chance for you to see if you feel comfortable with the counselling process.

Is there any obligation to book a full session if I have an introductory call or video chat?
No, there is no obligation to continue or book a follow up session from the initial introductory session.

Is everything I say confidential?
Confidentiality is a key part of counselling. What you share will remain private, with a few legal and ethical exceptions (for example, if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else). These boundaries will be explained clearly to you in the first session.

How do I know if counselling is right for me?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low, or simply in need of a space to talk things through, counselling can help. Many people seek support simply to understand themselves better. You don’t need to have a clear story or perfect explanation. We can begin wherever you are, even if that’s simply saying, “I’m not sure why I’m here.”
